Peru Cajamarca Washed 250G

Add a review

Cajamarca is located in the far north of Peru, near the border with Ecuador. This coffee is a blend of very good quality and fully traceable, produced from the coffees of six small farms, called "cafetales". The coffees are produced from varieties Catimor, Caturra, Typica and Pache, mutation of the Typica. He also has an organic certification. Belco gave the name of "El Mango" to this café, which is actually one of the production plots of this coffee.

Located in the province of San Ignacio, the producers of this coffee often have plots of less than 2 hectares. The low volumes of coffee produced make it impossible to export coffee as an independent producer. The producers have therefore united around the Sol y Café cooperative to export. This café brings together the productions of six coffee growers in the area. Located at high altitude, this café is transformed by the producers themselves, who sell their parches to the cooperative, in order to carry out the sale and the constitution of the lots.
