10979
Aymara Bio coffee or “Aymara Project” is a coffee grown under organic farming with a score of 84+/100, determined by the SCA. This coffee has been part of the organic products since 2019, and grows on the lands of the Yungas people. Despite many outsiders urging the Yungas to raze their land, the producers disagreed. Yungas, producers and people, take advantage of setting up very detailed and strict specifications for: Increase their production yields Improving the quality of coffee grown Mandatory reforestation of forests and plantations Reuse of waste (pulp, process water) It is thanks to Félix on site: a young entrepreneur from the region. He sees potential in the coffee of the Yungas people: an organic coffee that becomes a real source of income for these few producers. Since 2019, Félix has been supporting the Yungas people towards increasingly organic production, respectful of the environment and open to forest biodiversity. He encouraged cultivation under shade to improve the quality of the coffee. Since then, Aymara coffee has been certified organic and sustainable.
